Lately there has been some type of popularity spike in teahouses.  There are three main tea houses in Orlando- one of which is Infusion Tea in the College Park neighborhood of Orlando- by far my favorite of the three.

Infusion Tea OrlandoLocated just north of downtown Orlando, this is a tea lover’s dream.  Everyday brings a different featured hot tea and a featured cold tea.  Examples of featured teas include Moroccan Mint, Vanilla Rooibos and Jasmine Green Tea.

At every table is a cute little tea timer- depending on how you like your tea steeped you can follow the hourglass timers for the perfect cup.

Even if you aren’t a huge lover of all things tea, the food is incredibly delicious.  One visit I ordered the “Milton Special” salad (organic field greens, roasted beets, dried cranberries, sunflower seeds, hummus and tabouleh).

There is a salad or a sandwich to cater to any taste from vegan to pescatarian to a  carnivore.  This particular visit, Chad (my dining partner in crime) ordered the lunch special- a combo of any soup, salad or sandwich.  He ordered the veggie and hummus sandwich with the roasted pear salad.  First off, the pear salad had the most delicious caramelized pears and pecan crisp crackers.

Not that I regretted my choice of a meal, but I would go out of my way to order that pear salad for myself.

I paired my Milton Special salad with a cup of the White Gazpacho soup.  This was a cold soup with cucumbers and apples.  This would pair well with the roasted pear salad for lunch.

Now don’t misunderstand me.  Infusion Tea has plenty of other dining options like pizza, quiche, burritos and quesadillas.  Plus, you can also pop in for a quick breakfast wrap.  I have also tried the Veggie Bianca Pizza with pesto cream cheese, fresh tomatoes, artichokes and goat cheese.

Clearly, that was a wise choice as the pizza melted in my mouth.

Another neat thing about Infusion Tea is that part of the space is reserved for a little eclectic shop that sells cute antiques, paintings and trinkets (including the adorable table tea timer.)  So while you are waiting for your meal to be freshly prepared you can do a little shopping.  Give Infusion Tea a taste the next time you find yourself near College Park and hop on the teahouse bandwagon.  They also offer free WI-FI so bring your computer, order a pot of tea and enjoy the afternoon.

Infusion Tea has been on Bank of America’s list of deals for the past few months. I can get 15% cash back after using my BofA card here.
